It's not enough that your place looks aesthetically perfect. You need to make sure you hired contractors that are an authority in safety features. You don't want to get lawsuits from little to large scale unwanted or morbid accidents. That tile that broke your friends expensive shoes can cause a million dollar lawsuit. I am not exaggerating. I can say this from experience. I don't want anything like that happening to anyone. I wouldn't wish that on anyone, really. I hate designer bags and shoes. They cause trouble everywhere.
My husband is an architect and he feels it is pointless to always try to keep making sure you have the most grandiose of establishments because everything will just turn to rubble eventually. It's not that he doesn't believe there are things that are built to last. In fact, being an architect, they among other people will be very well researched about the oldest buildings. I guess all he is saying here is that we should not get attached to anything because one day we are all going to die and we will not be very sure who the next owners of our properties will be. We will not know if they will want to take care of it or keep it. It can break. If we are lucky it can stay. But we don't get to stay so we can't be together all the time.
